First Stop - Jefferson City, Tennessee

The first stop on our journey across the country was my hometown, Jefferson City, Tennessee. A few days of sleeping in my old room and eating my mother's home cooking is a great way to start an adventure.

We went to a Smokies Baseball game to watch the Sevierville AA team play our own Carolina Mudcats. The best things about watching minor league ball are the stadiums are small so all the seats are good and the entertainment between innings. The entertainment usually consists of getting fans to do silly things like in the case of the Smokies, spin around a bat 10 times and run or have have a group of kids chase a chicken.

While in Tennessee we also took the opportunity to visit Dolllywood. My folks have season tickets and get to take a guest for free in May. We didn't see Dolly but we did enjoy the rides.
