Historic Inn...visited by Teddy Roosevelt and the NCHappyTravelers
Hit play to feel like you too are in Prospect, Oregon enjoying the waterfalls
We wanted to visit Crater Lake while we were in Oregon. Thanks to our favorite travel website, http://www.tripadvisor.com/, we stayed at the motel units of the Prospect Historic Motel (http://www.prospecthotel.com/). We picked the hotel units because of the kitchenette option. After 6 weeks on the road, we were looking forward to eating our own cooking again.
We were not disappointed in our choice of lodging. We cooked 2 breakfasts and two dinners in our room. We did however wish we had stayed in the B&B part of the motel mainly because so many famous people stayed their and the menu looked really, really good. In addition to Teddy Roosevelt, John Muir and Jack London also stayed at the Inn.
The inn keepers gave us great advise on hikes in the area, including the Avenue of the Boulders and the falls above. The also let us get our dog fix by petting Chewbacca and Phoenix.
