Bryce Canyon

The first time we went to Bryce, we just drove through on our way from Zion to Lake Powell. This time, we spent a whole day enjoying the park. Bryce is known for its "hoodoos". A hoodo is a rock spire formed when ice and rain wear away limestone.

There are many different vistas to view ampitheaters full of hoodoos. Fortunately, we had been at high altitude for a while so the 9000+ feet vistas did not leave us gasping for air. The one vista that did leave us gasping was Inspiration Point. Not only was the view inspiring, the climb up was pretty steep. I didn't help that lightening struck not far from the point as we were starting our decent.
